McIntyre Creek Cleanup

In spite of being a cool, and somewhat rainy day, the few volunteers that showed up, collected an amazing amount of garbage, including a futon bed, and some large pieces of pipe.

Thanks to all the dedicated folks who came out to help, including the Fish and Game Society cook, Bruce Ross, who had an easy job of warming up the home cooked burgers, and  smokies, provided by Celeste Sundquist-Bendall .  Many thanks Celeste for providing yet again, another great lunch, including the  home made hamburgers!!!

In a pre-announcement, keep your eyes open for details on the Eco Forum being sponsored by Friends of McIntyre Creek on October 23, 2014.  Watch the newspapers for announcements, and come back to the blog for more details.  You will have a chance to experience some of Celeste's culinary creativity at this event!

REMINDER: Cleanup of McIntyre Creek

Friends of McIntyre Creek have set September 20, 2014 from 10 am to 2 pm as the clean up date for the middle McIntyre Creek area.  The meeting place will be the pump house (Blue Building) at the end of the road below the Yukon College at 10:00 am.  Garbage bags will be provided, but you will need to provide your own gloves.
We look forward to a good turn out, and  hope you can join us to help clean up the area.
A BBQ lunch will be provided.
